About 3.5 million fur-bearing animals are trapped and killed each year for their fur. Such as: raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, lynx, opossums, nutria, beavers, muskrats, otters, etc. The animals are trapped and killed by trappers in the United States each year. It is estimated that half of all fur garments come from trapped animals.

Farming
2.7 million animals are harvested on fur farms.
